Tip Leads to Arrest of Violent Robber

On May 6th there were at least 3 assaults in the vicinity the AT&T building in downtown Dallas. One of the victims, an AT&T employee, was shot in the head.

Because of the reckless and vicious nature of the crime and the chilling effect the spree of assaults had on an area where there is a high concentration of office workers who arrive early and leave late, Crime Stoppers increased their usual reward offer from $5,000 to $10,000 and AT&T offered an additional $10,000 reward.

An anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers that was passed along to the Dallas Police Department Detective in charge of the investigation led to an arrest.

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number and Web Tips to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.
